Ivan Vukčević
Ivan Vukčević has been Professor of Viola at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland since 2012. His teachers there were Johannes Eskaer and Alberto Lysy. He has given concerts in Australia, North America and Asia, as well as Europe. He has made several recordings and premiered many works. At present Vukčević is principal viola with the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana. He previously played with the Stavanger and Basel Symphony Orchestras and was a regular guest with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. In 2008 he helped form the Energie Nove Quartet, based in Lugano, and he directs the Mediterranean Notes Music Festival in Tivat, Montenegro. Ivan Vukčević plays a C. F. Landolfy viola from 1753 and a modern instrument built by F. Bissolotti in 1991.
