Kati Raitinen
Kati Raitinen combines her work as solo cellist with the Royal Opera orchestra in Stockholm with engagements in domestic and international chamber music. As a member of the former string trio ZilliacusPerssonRaitinen she has received multiple Swedish Grammis Awards. With Cecilia Zilliacus, she shares the artistic leadership of the Stockholm Concert Hall chambers music series “Monday at Last”.
Besides CD recordings, she has made numerous recordings for radio and television, the most recent being a short film for SVT of Rita Strohls piece Solitude together with pianist Bengt Forsberg. Raitinen came to Stockholm to study with prof. Frans Helmerson and has been teaching cello at the Royal College of Music since 2020. Kati Raitinen is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
