Konstantin Bogino
Konstantin Bogino is a celebrated soloist and a chamber musician. He is also an acclaimed teacher. His artistic development was strongly influenced by legendary Russian pianists such as Sviatoslav Richter, Emil Gilels, and Arthur Rubinstein, whom he heard when a child. His is the fourth generation of pianists in his family. His first lessons were with his father, Gerorgy Bogino. From 1973 to 1978, Bogino appeared as soloist and as a member of the Tchaikovsky Trio, giving more than 300 concerts in the former Soviet Union. Since 1987 he has lived in Paris. Konstantin Bogino has also helped start many festivals, such as the Portogruaro in Venice, the Music Festival of Lucca, and music festivals in Dubrovnik, Chioggia, Campagna and Maribor. He also gives masterclasses all round the world. Many of the pianists appearing at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival are his pupils.
