Liina-Mari Raivola

Liina-Mari Raivola graduated in 2016 with a master’s degree with distinction from the Sibelius Academy, where her teacher had been Timo Hanhinen. Raivola is at home playing chamber music and has appeared regularly with different ensembles, at such events as the Kauniainen Chamber Music Festival, the Music by the Sea, Inkoo Festival, Sibafest, the Pielinen soi! festival, and the Kumpula Chamber Concerts series. Raivola is a versatile musician who is unafraid of new challenges. She has been assistant to such orchestras and ensembles as the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic, Tapiola Sinfonietta and Avanti. She has been involved in chamber music projects, such as the planning and realisation of the Kino Soi! concert series in Tapiola, just outside Helsinki, collaborating with Hanna Hohti, Markus Hohti and Petja Kainulanen. She frequently plays with the Nome Quartet as well as the pianist Matleena Nyman. The Nome Quartet is a member of the Kuhmo Chamber Music Quartet Academy.
