Anni Collan

Anni Collan is a Master of Music and a piano teacher. She graduated in 2014 at the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen, Germany, where her teacher was Henri Sigfridsson, and the following year at the Sibelius Academy, where she was a pupil of Hui-Ying Liu-Tawaststjerna. In 2014 she came third in the Jyväskylä National Piano Competition, and has won several awards in the Helmi Vesa competition run for students of the Sibelius Academy. Collan won second prize in the international piano competition in Orihuela, Spain, in 2015. She has performed as soloist with a number of orchestras in Finland and other Baltic countries. In 2014, she gained a scholarship to study at the International Mendelssohn-Academy Leipzig, and that same year she received a grant from the Pro Musica Foundation. Collan has made appearances at many festivals, and in 2016 she was Young Artist of the Summer at the Sibelius Academy concert series. Anni Collan has attended masterclasses given by such eminent pianists as Olli Mustonen, Matti Raekallio, András Schiff and Antti Siirala. Collan is in the Young Chamber Musicians programme.
