Antje Dampel

Antje Dampel studied violin in Freiburg and Munich. Having graduated in 2002, she worked in the orchestra at the opera in Lubeck and Magdeburg. In 2005 Dampel decided to switch from the violin to the viola, starting lessons with Johannes Eskaer in Copenhagen. Later on her teachers were Alfred Lipka in Berlin and Vladimir Mendelssohn in Essen. Since 2008 she has been principle viola with the Lüneburger Symphoniker and plays regularly with the Hamburger Camerata and the Salzburg Orchester Solisten. Dampel has performed as soloist and chamber musician in almost every country in Europe.
