Aylen Pritchin

Russian violinist Aylen Pritchin studied in St Petersburg – the city of his birth – as a pupil of Elena Zaitseva, and with Eduard Grach at the Moscow Conservatory. He was the winner of the Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition in 2014 and was also successful in the Wieniawski and Kreisler violin competitions, for example. Pritchin is among his generation’s most interesting violinists in Russia. The concert season 2018–19 saw him tour Russia with Teodor Currentzis and the ensemble MusicAeterna, and he has also appeared as soloist with the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra, the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cannes Symphony Orchestra. A while ago he made his debut as soloist with the Russian National Orchestra at the Mariinsky Theatre. He has also performed much chamber music in various ensembles. Pritchin has recorded music by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky for Melodiya. He also teaches regularly in masterclasses in Germany and Italy, for example. Artist's/Ensemble's own website
