Claudio Trovajoli

Besides pursuing a solo career, Claudio Trovajoli has been interested in the early chamber music repertoire and performs in various ensembles ranging from duos to quintets. Trovajoli has won the Turin National Piano Competition as well as various other international competitions in Vercelli, Vienna and Yellow Springs in the USA. He regularly plays chamber music with Felix Ayo, David Cohen, Andrej Bielow, Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Reto Bieri and Dan Zhu. Trovajoli has performed the world over, appearing at such famous venues as Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and London’s Wigmore Hall. He has recorded much piano trio repertoire, including all of Schubert’s trios, and his recordings of the piano trios of Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich received glowing reviews. Trovajoli is, furthermore, a passionate teacher. He is Professor of Piano at the L’Aquila Alfredo Casella conservatory of music and regularly teaches on courses at international festivals.
