Dagmar Linde

Dagmar Linde studied song and church music in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Having qualified, she took singing lessons with Dieter Müller and attended a number of masterclasses given by Julia Hamari, Kurt Widmer, Helmuth Rilling, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and others. Linde was successful in the Schwerin Young Singers’ Competition and the Torneo Internazionale di Musica in Rome. In addition to opera and lied she has focused on oratorio. Her extensive repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary, and she has contributed to a number of first performances, including the premiere in Germany of Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Oratorio. Linde appears regularly at many of the major festivals in Germany. Teaching is also important to her – she has taught singing for more than 20 years at Witten/Herdecke University in Germany.
