Eric Seohyun Moon

Eric Seohyun Moon (born in 1997) is a Violist from South Korea. He has graduated ‘Kaywon School of Arts’ and ‘Seoul Arts High School’ and attended to ‘Seoul National University’. He was awarded in numerous major competitions in Korea: 1st prizes of Dong-a Music Competition, Music Association of Korea, CBS Music Competition(Grand Prix), Strad Music Competition etc. He was also awarded 1st prize at the 24th "Gaetano Zinetti" International Competition in Italy. He participated to the ‘Verbier Festival Academy’ and took masterclasses from Antoine Tamestit, Lawrence Power, Lars Anders Tomter, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Pamela Frank etc. As a solo player, He has played with Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Arts High School Orchestra and made numerous recitals in Korea, Germany and in Italy. In 2020, he has also joined the "Abel Quartet" and developed his musical career also as a string quartet player. Apart as a passionate musician, Mr. Moon is also an influencer, being the founder of "ClasscialMusicMatters" on Instagram. He is currently the Violist of "Abel Quartet" and doing his solo studies at the "Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin", with Simone Jandl.
