Minna Lindgren

Minna Lindgren (s. 1963) is a productive and versatile writer, journalist and a beloved opera expert. Her newest novel Soteorpo (2024) is a raw tale of an exhausted caregiver’s life with a twist of humor. The book tells more about our society than we ourselves would like to see.

Her most loved novel serie Ehtoolehto has been translated to over 20 different languages. She has also written various books and nonfictions about music. Her latest one Minun oopperani – epätäydellinen historia (My opera – incomplete history) in 2022 was a huge success. Lindgren has also written libretos for instance to operas composed by Iiro Rantala.

Minna Lindgren is a member of the Helsinki City Board.
