Pierre Frapier

Born in France, Pierre Frapier has successively been a pupil of Constantin Bogdanas, Marc Danel, Itzhak Rashkovsky, and Wouter Vossen. He has played solo at venues including the Montpellier Opera, the Moscow Conservatory, the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv and in many of the main concert halls in the UK. Frapier has seen success in the International Aram Khachaturian Violin Competition and the Luigi Zanuccoli Competition. One of his latest projects was a collaboration with the actor Hugh Grant and the director Stephen Frears in the BBC production A Very English Scandal. Recent highlights include guest concertmaster engagements with the OSPA (Orquestra Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias), in Spain. He plays a violin made by the Voller Brothers in 1894.
