The Kuhmo Chamber Music Course group improvisation workshop is open to anyone interested in improvisation and eager to experiment. The workshop will focus on how to use different basic musical structures to support your improvisation. The aim is to give participants an easy and accessible way to experience the joys of improvisation, to discover hidden potential within themselves, and to apply these newfound skills to their solo and chamber-music performances.

The workshop will be led by violinist Tuulia Hero. Based in London, Tuulia graduated with distinction from David Dolan’s improvisation class and has led improvisation workshops at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, its Junior Department, and the Royal Opera House in London.

The workshop consists of two two-hour sessions on 22nd and 24th July. Participation is free for masterclass students.
