MUSIC COURSES
The music courses will run 9–22.7.2023
1a. Masterclasses for piano, violin and chamber music
Solo tuition for advanced students and tuition in chamber music for ready-formed ensembles. Teachers Konstantin Bogino (piano and chamber music), Mi-kyung Lee (violin) and Danel Quartet (chamber music). Courses will consist of five sessions in all, each lasting 45 minutes.
1 b. olli mustonen’s short masterclass for piano
This course includes 1 x 45 minutes of teaching from Olli Mustonen. Both the music course students and pianists outside of the courses can apply for the course.
The aim in the masterclasses is for the participants all to observe the others’ lessons as decided by their teachers. The masterclasses are open for public.
2. Music courses
Private lessons and tuition in chamber music for ready-formed ensembles. Courses will consist of five sessions in all, each lasting 45 minutes.
3. CHAMBER MUSIC WORKSHOPS
The workshops are intended for players taking part in the music courses and masterclasses. Teachers Wouter Vossen and Paavali Jumppanen. Students in the workshops will prepare chamber works for performance at the concerts on July 14 and 21. The workshop leader will play in the ensembles. The workshop is free for course participants. Those attending Wouter Vossen’s workshop should be prepared to be in Kuhmo at least for the period July 9–14 and Paavali Jumppanen’s workshop during July 16–21.

COURSE FEES
Individual tuition and masterclasses €565/person
Olli Mustonen’s masterclass €90/person
Ensemble tuition (ready-formed ensemble) €485/person
Additional fee for private tuition for ensemble member €230/person
The fees include tuition, admission to the concerts, all meals and accommodation (seven nights) in classroom with no more than eight people in it.
Olli Mustonen’s short masterclass includes teaching 1 x 45 min. Does not include meals, accommodation or concert tickets.
The paid course fee will not be refunded.

Students should arrive in Kuhmo no later than on the day before tuition begins. Departure is the same day as the last day of teaching is marked.
