Alexandre Kantorow

Alexandre Kantorow began piano lessons when he was five years old. He studied under Pierre-Alain Volondat and at the Schola Cantorum in Paris with Igor Lazko. Currently he is studying at the Paris Conservatoire where his teachers are Franck Braley and Haruko Ueda. Kantorow made his debut as soloist with orchestra aged 16 with the Sinfonia Varsovia. Since then he has appeared with the Orchestre Symphonique d'Orléans, Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bordeaux and Geneva Chamber Orchestras. He has given numerous recitals and toured with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre national d'Île de France, Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire, Orchestre de Picardie, and Orchestre national de France. In 2017 he concluded a recording contract with BIS, to include the complete works for piano and orchestra by Saint-Saëns.
