Daniil Nikulin is a Russian dancer, choreographer and teacher of dancing. His career got off to a start in 2009 as a dancer of boogie-woogie music, and in 2013 he began to study solo jazz dancing. Later that same year Nikulin entered his first jazz dance competition, which he also won. His passion for dance grew, and he went on to take part in a number of international competitions, attend dance camps, dance the Lindy Hop and undertake teaching assignments. He is a master of the Lindy Hop in Russia, winner of many international jazz dance contests, and one of the most interesting names in swing dance in Moscow. In his solo performances, Nikulin seeks inspiration from both authentic jazz and many of today’s dance styles, such as Indian classical, locking and ballet. These different approaches to the art of dance complement one another and together result in a fascinating and unique combination of styles.
