Eunsol Youn

Eunsol Youn studied violin at the Korea National University of the Arts Korea and the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. Her teachers were Namyun Kim and Christoph Poppen. She has worked in the Bavarian State Opera and performed as soloist with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie of Konstanz, Germany, Toruń Symphony Orchestra, L'Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, and several Korean orchestras. Youn came first in the Busan and Joongang Music Competition in South Korea and the Korean public broadcaster KBS competition. Outside Korea she has seen success in the International Violin Competition ’Andrea Postacchini’ in Italy and the Henri Marteau Competition in Germany. She plays in the Abel Quartet, which is a member of the Kuhmo Chamber Music's Quartet Academy.
