Francesco Pedrini

Italian-born Francesco Saverio Pedrini studied organ and composition in Parma and at the musical academy in Trento. He then went on to study at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basle. His teachers were Jean-Claude Zehnder and Andrea Marco. He has also attended several masterclasses. Since 2007 he has been Artistic Director of the Baroque Opera Class at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and its co-repetiteur. He is also the leader of the vocal ensemble Voces Suaves. In 2006 he founded the international organ festival known as Fiori Musicali. Pedrinia is also Artistic Director of the Le Capitali della Musica series of concerts that focuses on Italian Renaissance and Baroque music.
