Julian Arp

Julian Arp studied at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin and was one of the legendary Boris Pergamenschikow’s last students. Other important teachers have included David Geringas and – in chamber music - Eberhard Feltz, as well as many other fellow-musicians. Chamber music is one of his greatest passions as an artist. He regularly appears at the most prestigious festivals in Europe, such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and Bonn’s Beethoven Festival, as both soloist and ensemble musician. He has made several prize-winning discs with pianist Caspar Frantz, and is one of the founders of the Zeitkunst Festival, which specialises in contemporary music and literature. He also works at the University for Arts in Graz, Austria, where he is a professor, and he gives masterclasses in Germany and abroad. Artist's/Ensemble's own website
