Lior Ouziel

Lior Ouziel, born in 1992, began his musical studies on the piano in Ashdod, Israel. At the age of 15 he decided to switch to the harp, and began to study under Irena Kaganovsky. Since he was 16 Ouziel has been a pupil of Professor Marian Schwartzbart, first at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, and later at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he is presently studying for his master’s degree. Lior Ouziel was awarded an America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship and has taken two major prizes from the Jerusalem Academy of Music. He won first prize in the Israel Harp Contest in 2011. He has performed as soloist with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and in numerous chamber concerts and broadcasting events. He has also attended masterclasses given by Marielle Nordmann, Susanna Klincharova, Sivan Magen and Florence Sitruk.
