Manfred Pomorin

Manfred Pomorin

Manfred Pomorin was born in southern Germany and began to learn ballet when he was six. Later he continued to be involved in modern dance, jazz dance and expressionist dance and has worked as a professional mimic since 1981. Pomorin tours Germany and the rest of Europe presenting his solo, duo and group programmes. Since 1993 he has been Artistic Director of the pantomime company LE TOC, and each year has completed a new show lasting an entire evening. He also gives workshops and courses in theatrical expression and mimicry for students of all ages at such places as San Francisco’s Antioch University and in Gomel in Belarus. He uses music in his performances and endeavours to merge music with pantomime. In 2012 Pomorin staged Mozart’s Music to a Pantomime K 446 as reconstructed by Vladimir Mendelssohn.
