Margaret Lias

American soprano Margaret Lias has won praise for her ’warm’, ’enchanting’ and ’versatile’ voice. She made her debut in 2011 in Boston as a soloist with the Handel and Haydn Society directed by Harry Christoph, and since then has performed regularly in Christoph-led productions. Apart from Kuhmo, her other solo performances this season and in the future include Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at the Staunton Music Festival and Bach with the Tucson Chamber Artists.
