Martin Alvarado

Martín Alvarado Martín Alvarado is widely considered to be Argentina’s most important contemporary tango singer and even one of the finest vocalists in the history of the tango. He has been described as ‘the voice of tango in the 21st Century’ and ‘the best voice in Buenos Aires’. His career took off when he sang with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra in 2003. Since then, he has performed in Europe, Asia and South America on stage and on television. In 2013, he won a Latin UK Award and had his latest album released by UK-based record label Riverboat Records. The music on his four albums is played every day on the tango radio channels in Buenos Aires, and his voice and on-stage charisma has been likened to the tango superstar of the 1930s, Carlos Gardel.
