Patricio Arroyo

The tenor Patricio Arroyo is from Chile, where he began his musical studies in the city of Concepción. While still a student he performed in several productions in Chile, Argentina and Brazil. He made his debut at the National Opera of Chile in 2007. Arroyo continued his studies as a student of Michael Gehrke at the Musikhochschule Lübeck. At the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Arroyo has appeared with conductors Rolf Beck, Peter Schreier and Thomas Hengelbrock. Other engagements have taken him to Japan and Singapore. Arroyo has been involved in several opera productions at the Theater Lübeck, and since 2010 he has been with the Theater Aachen. Arroyo is well-known in particular for his roles in the operas of Mozart, but he is also a strong contender in early and Baroque music. He also regularly sings in passions, oratorios, cantatas, and masses from different periods.
