Peter Walker

Bass vocalist Peter Walker is celebrated for his interpretations of early, classical and contemporary repertoire. Recent performances include the bass solo part in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the Staunton Music Festival and in J. S. Bach’s Cantata no. 36 with Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society. Walker has toured with the Clarion Choir in St Petersburg, Moscow and London and appeared in his home country - the United States – with several early music ensembles and orchestras, such as the Texas Early Music Project, Stamford Symphony, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Apollo’s Fire, and Skylark Ensemble. Walker sings in the New York-based Choir of St. Luke in the Fields and is a founder member of Marginalia, an ensemble that specialises in medieval music. He studied under Drew Minter and Sanford Sylvan. Walker lectures on early music at Vassar College and the University of Virginia. Artist's/Ensemble's own website
