Barbora Hilpo

Barbora Hilpo is a Czech viola player living in Finland. She studied at the Prague Music Academy, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid, under Diemut Poppen and Nils Mönkemeyer. A versatile soloist and chamber musician, Hilpo has appeared all over the world at a large number of international festivals. Among her more recent achievements was the first performance in Finland of Karl Amadeus Hartmann's Konzert für Bratsche mit Klavier with the Finnish Guards Band and her husband Marko Hilpo at the piano.
