Elina Heikkinen

Violist Elina Heikkinen is at present in the last stages of her studies at the Sibelius Academy with Atte Kilpeläinen. Here teachers have also included Lilli Maijala, Tommi Aalto and Atso Lehto. She gained her Master's degree in music in May 2019. Heikkinen also graduated from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki as a music pedagogue and was an exchange pupil at the conservatory in Lausanne. Alongside her studies, for several years has substituted in orchestras in the Helsinki area and performed a good deal of chamber music, especially with the Nome Quartet. Elina Heikkinen also started her own chamber concert series in Helsinki in autumn 2017, and she continues to be its Artistic Director as well as being responsible for its activities. The Nome Quartet is a member of the Quartet Academy of Kuhmo Chamber Music.
