Mari Pakarinen

Mari Pakarinen started playing the trumpet when she was eight years old at the North Kymi Music Institute, in Kouvola, Finland, with Karl-Heinz Hennen. Later she continued her studies in Tampere as a pupil of Aki Välimäki, and later studied for a master's degree with Frits Damrow in Zürich and at the Sibelius Academy under Pasi Pirinen and Touko Lundell. More recently Pakarinen has been playing with the Vaasa City Orchestra. She previously worked temporarily with the Pori Sinfonietta and the Finnish Guards Band.
