Marc Danel

Marc Danel studied violin under Jezdimir Vujicic in his home town of Lille and with Igor Ozim in Cologne. Other major influences have been the members of the Amadeus and Borodin Quartets, Hugh Maguire, Fyodor Druzhinin, Walter Levin and Pierre Penassou. As first violin with the Danel Quartet, Marc Danel has appeared all over the world and made several recordings that have drawn praise. He is also Director of the Netherlands String Quartet Academy and professor of violin in Lyon and Namur.
